Cold Weather Resources

As temperatures drop around Minnesota shelters attempt to stay open later as they are able.  Additional warming centers may also open depending on the region.

Greater Twin Cities United Way has partnered with Lyft to provide discounted rides for individuals traveling to or from a designated warming shelter.  Details are in the link above.

The Red Cross recommends these tips for staying safe outside:

Wear layered clothing, cover your mouth to protect your lungs from severely cold air, watch for signs of hypothermia and frostbite, keep dry (try to change out of wet clothes if possible.)
